panadero:
If you need a job, you can get a job. It might not be the perfect job, but they are out there.
Yes, they are out there, but that really wasn't my point.
When you are willing to lower the standard of the value of any job, you lower the standards for everyone. The standard of living drops. For everyone.
When you are willing to take a job for less than what the set price for that job is, you lower the standard across the board. An employer will look at his bottom line. If you take less than minimum wage, and no benefits, you've saved him thousands of dollars a year.
Now, some legal citizens lose their health care, can't pay for a doctor, can't get immunizations, can't buy formula for their starving child.
Ultimately, illegals kill our economy. Then, the very place the illegals are trying to leave, you've just created in another country.
There are reasons laws exist. They've worked for 200 years. Now, a group from other countries feel like, HEY!! Land of opportunity!! Lets just illegally cross the border, steal jobs, steal food, steal whatever we need because we WANT to.
No, NO you don't. You don't have the right to steal. You don't have the right to be in a country illegally. You don't have the right to take jobs away from hard working LEGAL citizens. You don't have a right to take away OUR benefits.
So many people fought to get these benefits in place. Now you just want "squatters rights."
That's not just illegal. That's just downright unfair.
If you want to be in this country, all I ask is you do it legally. Observe our laws. Don't accept unfair hiring practices. Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself.
