What that should tell you is the even the US government sees the benefits of immigration, but they play the political game to keep you happy. What you don’t understand is there is not a system to come legally for work. Until you fix that problem nothing else is going to work.

Please, tell me more, such as WHO in the US governement sees a benefit from an invading army of illegal tresspassers.

Also, please tell me, I really want to know, just what are these "benefits"?

There is also a huge difference between "immigrants" and illegal "aliens".

The only "benefits" that I see are;

Union Busting - why hire at scale if you can hire at a percentage of scale.
Increased strain on the healthcare system - illegals are not going to pay for insurance or the cost of their own care.
Increased strain on public safety - for examples, the murder in Mason, the person sought in the murder ran back to Mexico, automobile violations are rarely paid, and then the recent murders.
Increased strain on the educational system. According to recent reports, far too many recent aliens, enrolled in English classes do not even know how to hold a pencil. Don't laugh, don't look at me funny, that was reported on CNN within the past week.
There are more examples that are too numberous to go into now.

The only POSSIBLE benefits would be to the democrats, they are the party that is blocking plans to prevet illegal access to the USA.

Thanks for the interesting links. I was reading through the "faith-based" website about the watering stations, medical care, etc set up for illegals crossing the desert. I believe I saw a Dateline special on this very topic recently.

I know these Christian people are trying to be kind, but I would liken it to the same people who think that it's kind to put out bags of food that attract hoards of cats, bringing disease and unwanted pregnancies to the cat population. I would give them the same advice that I give to the kindly "cat-feeders" -- You have to have a plan to deal with the problem. Feeding them just encourages more to come and breed. With cats, if you rescue, you must also spay and neuter.

I'm not sure what you can do with illegal aliens once you've encouraged them to come here.

I stand corrected - such a brilliant and obviously educated illegal Mexican as this fellow should be welcomed with open arms, and immediately given the title Professor Emeritus of Arts and Literature at the nearest college.

 Sure how about they do the jobs nobody else wants to. As much as you want to denied it, they collect unclaim taxes. They contribute to the economy by buying goods etc.

Unions have gone from protecting workers to protecting the lazy and enriching the union officials, but that is another topic.

Same answer, if you give temporary work visas and drivers license you will have a better grasp of who is who.

And if cnn said it it is truth? Even if it is, there is nothing wrong with wanting a education, so lets help those kids so they can hold a pencil, write and read and become bether people.

I'm glad you humor in my comments. 

If you read one of the early posts by El Critico, he mentioned that if I (American born) had to hitch to Canada (illegally) in order to find work to support and feed my family, I would.  The answer to that is yes.  Especially if it was as easy to get there as it is to get here. 

As for breaking laws, of course I'm not OK with that but the breaking of laws is a result of decades of bad policies. If the millions of illegal immegrants had some sort of documentation, they wouldn't be stealing ID's or breaking any local, state or Federal laws. 

I hope you got another giggle or two. 

I don't like illegal immigrants because they are bringing BEDBUGS into our communities and it takes years to get rid of these parasites. I also DO NOT like the U.S. Gov't for including them in the Economic Stimulus package being debated in the Senate. I also believe that if they want to work in this country as a non-citizen they need to pay non-citizen tax because they are medically treated the same as US citizens by medical providers/hospitals. They should NOT be allowed to VOTE. ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS should only be allowed to very limited involvement in Gov't. The US Constitution should not be applied to them. Workers' Laws should not apply to them. In other words, treat them the same way the French treat Americans in their country.
