I'll tell you what I think they are getting worse and more out of control.  The system does not care and then the courts slap them on the wrists.  The teens will tell you, " you can't do anything to me."  They are more disrespectful and punishment should be allowed.  Boot camps might change some but, for some it's already a lost cause.  I do believe an old saying the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

If parents were held accountable for their teens actions and decisions do you think that teens would think before acting...?

When teens make a mistake do they feel they can justify it by saying," my mom/dad did the same thing at my age???

All of us strive to be accepted by our peers and we choose our own path and  how to get there....so what drives a teenager???? material possessions....character.....popularity???

And last but not least.....if parents focused more on "real time" with their families do you think it would make a difference in their lives...???  Take away the car,cell phone, video games and pull out a board game, open a book or just have conversation with your family...

The question I have is for the school boards. Haven't they figured this out yet. I asked my youg teenage grandson if he knew that when he did anything wrong in class he would immediatly be taken from the classroom and saent to the principals office for a swat would he act up in class/ His response was heck no that would be really be embarrassing but we don't have to worry about that they are not allowed to give kids swats anymore they just make us stay home for so many days and we get to sleep in play video games and hang out with the other friends we talked into doing things with us that way we could all be suspended at the same time. HOLIDAYS lol. Teenager these days run the house not mom and dad. Because if mom and dad give them a swat the kids call 241 kids and get to go terrorize some one else. My Grandaughter tried this stuff with me . I drove her to school and called the principal and told him I would sit in each class all day every day if I had to and I guarentee she will do her work. Does that make me a mean grandma?

Whats up with all the young guys wearing tight chick jeans and coloring their hair black?

Oct. is Domestic Violence Awareness month. I would like to see a public interest spot on teens and DV. What the problem is, the seriousness, the options for both the victim and the abuser, and what parents should look for. Boys should be included, as studies are showing that more teen boys are admitting to being abused.
