Cecilia Slaby would have been three on August 1, 2008.

Her death on August 23, 2007 came just three weeks after her second birthday.

The death of a child under the age of two is usually investigated by a life insurance company before they make their payout. I guess the Slaby's were patient enough to wait an extra 22 days to avoid an insurance investigation. If they had purchased a policy from an insurance company where Scott Croswell sat on the Board of Directors, they might not have bothered to wait until Cecilia was two years old to arrange her little "accident."

Happy Birthday to both Marcus and Cecilia. I am glad you are both in God's loving arms and away from the greedy, despicable adults in your short lives who saw you as a means to a quick buck.

"Welfare class" or "upper middle class" -- it doesn't seem to matter to parents who see children as meal tickets. I only wish that the Justice System treated them all equally.

BTW - Recently Don White was interviewed by our local Union Township cable station regarding both the Amy Baker and Brenda Slaby situations. He tried to deflect the question of why he seemed to be acting as the champion of both these child killers by continously stating that the only people who are keeping these issues alive are people who do not understand "The Law" (as he sees it).

He went on to infer that all of the 1100 concerned citizens who signed the Cecilia Petition are hopelessly ill-informed, and that if he had the opportunity, he would like to straighten us all out. He specifically mentioned being "irritated" by the Cecilia Petition sign at the foot of my driveway on Old State Route 74, and "wishing that he could talk to me" personally -- my phone number is in the book, Don.

I would like to hereby officially suggest a public exchange with Don White on the matter of these two dead children. Perhaps Channel 12 would like to host it?

And maybe we should hold our meeting in a locked Mercedes SUV with no air conditioning and the windows tightly sealed in full sun in the parking lot of West Clermont Middle School on the morning of August 23 - the one-year anniversary of Cecilia Slaby's death.
