    Beverly Hills...NOT AGAIN

Please let those who died in the fire and their families rest.  Every year the people of the Greater Cincinnati area are subjected  by the media to the horrible memories of that night.  I was at the scene as a firefighter for over 15 hours, lost an uncle and two friends.  I do not need to be reminded of the event.  We, as the public, have learned from this disaster, i.e. smoke detectors, exits and lighting, sprinkler systems, and room capacities to name a few.  Let it rest. Please?

On some levels, I agree with you. It serves no purpose to keep re-hashing the past. But if we can find out for sure what happened, then is that such a terrible thing?

I think it's human nature to want to revisit tragedies and make sure that we've learned ALL the lessons and to be sure the truth has been uncovered. Also, this fire is legendary. I was only 14 when it happened, and I had family that went the night before. I had family members who lost friends that night.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your uncle and friends. I can understand why you want this to be put to rest. Really, I do. :-(  It probably feels like a wound that keeps getting opened. But you have to understand that things like this haunt a community, and there will always be voices out there that feel they need their own form of 'closure'. And I'm sorry that you have to suffer through that. Bless you...for all your pain, and the fact that this won't go away. I can not imagine what you went through that night...
