Decent Rain Today in Butler County

We received a nice soaking around 8am and now approx .75 of an inch of rain at 3pm and we're not done. Not bad for a 20% chance of spotty showers.

I must say the weather gurus totally missed yesterday.   I mean, how do you make the leap from scattered minimal chances for showers and a pop-up t-staorm to the severe storms the tri-state saw yesterday?  Just goes to show how fickle Mother  Nature can be!

Yea, but at least everyone missed this one, but in their defense, not everyone saw rain, northwest warren county was sunny all day, it was scattered, but where it did rain it dumped.  As for the severe weather, with the humidity and the heating, I wasn't expecting anything less when it did storm.

Friday morning and afternoon I was calling for storms likely on Sunday.  I put a huge thunderstorm icon on the Planning Forecast.
