I'll reserve you a spot on the bus. You are welcome to return after your papers are in order.

I'm not familiar with the words "Frengi or Klingon."  What is the meaning?

    Thank you.

I think it has to do with one of those alien shows, but I don’t know.

Of course, assuming that I’m not legally in this country or that I can go to my home country on a bus. There you have it, a perfect example of the ignorance and the stereotyping of people like you. You must think I’m wearing a sombrero too!

    Re: 700 WLW

Just my thoughts about President Bush and Changes:

Bad timing for any changes – President Bush has angered many Americans, especially members of Congress.  Many Americans see this administration as being one of the most unacceptably secret, egotistical, and arrogant in our history.  The result is when his lips move, ears close.  Right now, he is having a lot of difficulty getting Congress to accept his choices for anything, one example, his choice for a new Attorney General.  He has lost the trust of the American people.

But there is some good news, because our laws limit the terms a President can serve, there will be new opportunities.

The bad news is that many, (not all) of today’s politicians are politicians because they are incapable of being anything else (Well, they could be on welfare.)  We have too many people making management decisions who could not manage a small corner drug store.  Very few Americans look into the education or backgrounds of the people they vote for.  I am also guilty.  This is not an excuse, but a reason: except for the financially well-off, most of us are too busy earning a living.

Another negative is that human beings fear change and the reaction is anger.

Let me know what you think and I would like to know what you think about that website.  I know nothing of this person's  reputation, but I found the some debates interesting  and some of his/her remarks worth thinking about.

    Good night.

I have been very busy, I totally agree with you, bad timing for Bush. Is ironic that I don’t agree with many of his decisions, but I think he was in the right track with his proposal. I have not had time to read the website, I went to it, and there are a lot of topics, I need to find the time to read it.

I don't agree with many things that our politicians say or why they are saying it.  Their "track record" sometimes doesn't look encouraging.  (I'm not being sarcastic!)

    Thanks.

illegal aliens are bring more than themselves and family with them, they are bringing pests and illness. Things not seen in the USA for 50 years are being brought in.

    Re: 700 WLW

In the late 1800s, giant steamships would pull up to the docks of Italy and Sicily and display banners across their bow "JOBS IN AMERICA" (in Italian, of course). The marble and granite companies of New England were looking for experienced stonemasons, and the Italian marble quarries were played out. Hundreds of men would pay a pittance for their passage, and agree to "work off" the balance after getting to America. That is why there is a huge Italian poplulation today along coastal New England.

While on these ships, the men spent the passage time learning English and the basic laws of America, to make their transition to American life easier. Every man was given a little green book about the process of being a Citizen of America - the ultimate goal. After working through the system, the men would send home for their wives and children, and all would settle here to live the American Dream.

Most American citizens have similar stories in their families - German, Russian, Irish, etc. But they didn't come here for a free ride. When most of our families came over, there was no Welfare, no Medicaid. These immigrants just wanted half a chance on a level playing field. They brought more to the party then they consumed, and they added immensely to the rich fabric of America.

I think we are critical of the "new immigrants" because our ancestors did it "the right way," and the current waves of illegals are a desecration to their memory.

I think that this thread has died because those that SUPPORT illegal invasion, err, immigration, know that they are wrong and do not want to defend themselves.
