To NetGuru:
There has been an alarming rise in the number of cases of tubercluosis in recent years. Undocumented children are entering our school system despite their lack of innoculations for polio, diptheria, whooping cough, and measles.
The illegal immigrant parents can register them by simply showing a utility bill to prove residency in that particular school system.
And the property tax of homeowners foots the bill.
Would I have a right to demand access to school records in order to turn over illegals for prosecution? Why are my tax dollars being used to educate illegal's children?

ArbofDoctor, why don't you don't take these posts seriously.
You make no sense. Obviously you have never visited Mexico. Have you seen Indian women sitting on the streets for hours, with urine seeping underneath their skirts onto the sidewalk, with their little girls dressed as for the celebration of their "First Communion Day," begging, and very young boys on the streets begging for a few American coins? The young children, usually boys, on city buses and on the street selling “Chiclets,” (chewing gum), or singing for a few coins.
What is happening here is because Vicente Fox cannot feed the people of Mexico
The same thing happened during the "Irish Potato Famine." The big difference, now, is that we have a more criminal elements using them and us to get rich.

everyone has a sad story, but the simple fact of the issue is this; these people have no interest in becoming US Citizens, and they have said so, they come to the USA illegally, and is is a documented fact, they riot in the streets of places such as Los Angeles waving Mexican flags, they fly the Mexican flag over (in a superior position) to the US flag, they do not learn the language, they almost demand that we accept them for who they are, we accept thier language and thier culture. This will not happen. The LEGAL immegrants are welcome here, they are welcome to learn the language and they are welcome to meld into society. All the legal immegrants of the past have done so, the Irish, the Germans, the Vietnamese, the Chinese, the Mong, the Cubans, and the list can go on.... They are invaders, they are tresspassers, they are criminals. They should be captured, jailed, and returned never to enter the US again. Legally or illegally, they should never step foot int he USA again. Mexico can be a wonderful country, perhaps they need another revolution to fix the problems that the likes of Fox and Friends have caused.

I’m glad we are talking again. Maybe the new participants should read the early posts. Everything that you are saying is been discussed before, you are not offering any solutions; we have discuss before the need for realistic solutions. You want to insult or degrade immigrants, maybe you should find another forum, where people will agree with you and you can all cry together. Here, we would like to talk about solutions. We need immigrants, not only from Mexico but from all over the world, you are correct in the fact that most immigrants don’t want to be citizens, but I can guarantee to you, that if you give them the choice, they would like to be here legally. I mentioned before in conversations with peace2you, that Bush proposal was a good one, it would’ve allow immigrants to be here temporally and then they can go home, that way, you can you know who is coming.

sorry, but like the democrats like to say, Bush was wrong again, and I am a life long Republican - call me a Goldwater or a Reagan Republican if you will. Solution, I have already offered a solution, round them all up, herd them together, ship them back to where they started, make them apply to re-enter the USA legally. If they chose to reenter the US without permission, ban them completely or send them to Gitmo or another Federal prison. Cut aid to the home country, we send millions to Mexico, stop the flow of money. On the subject of money, make it illegal to send money to countries that condone illegal activity. If this is not possible, put a huge tarrif on money orders, make them worth 30% of face value. Since travelers use creditcards, do not place a tarrif on those, just on money orders. Place currency detectors in the post office that handles international posts. BTW, glad to see you posting again, I hope you did not need a beach towel when you hit land again.

I have said this before in this post, nothing personal, but that is the stupidest idea you can recommend, we are talking, realistic solutions, no dreams, it is impossible to get all the immigrants out, the us does not have the recourses. Besides, the economy can not afford that either. We are trying to have a reasonable dialog, your talking very passionate but you are not making any sense.

no Senor, they are here in MY COUNTRY, ILLEGALLY, they are breaking the law of the land, they are stealing jobs from AMERICAN (USA) Citzens, and before you hand me a burrito and tell me "no one else wants those jobs", BURRO DUNG, when I was a kid, I did many of those jobs. They are here to bust the unions, they work under the table, and they work for less than union scale, this point should OUR RAGE any union member. They bring with them sickness and pests and this is a fact, just ask the CDC when was the last time they saw a bed bug, tuberculosis, small pox. They are not IMMIGRANTS either, they are illegal aliens, tresspassers, thieves, here to steal from all Americans. If this was not true, then why the "anchor baby"? If you think that our economy will suffer, well, let it, and after all the illegals are rounded up and deported, and we still have unfilled jobs, then let them apply and enter the USA legally. I had to do the same when I worked in Canada. Passion, yes, common sense, yes. It is not impossible to make all illegal move, just follow the money, refuse to allow illegals access for overseas/out of the USA money orders, medical and social services. When they are caught breaking the simplest law, hold them and place them in federal custody. Speeding ticket will land them in federal holding. They will soon quit and leave. A good place to start is to make immigration to the USA as difficult as immigration to Mexico.

Just about everyone (including Mexico) thinks that our government needs immigration reform, and it is now very apparent that our leaders don’t have all the answers. In order to ensure that these reforms are workable, enforceable (most important), and fair, it seems that it would be sensible for our lawmakers to study and evaluate the immigration policies of other countries.
Since Mexico also has had a significant problem with illegal aliens (undocumented) coming into that country from El Salvador and other Central American countries, it might be a good idea to begin there. In addition, Mexico has created agencies to ensure strict compliance of its Immigration Laws (“The General Law on Population,” “A National Population Registry,” which tracts and verifies each individual’s identity, and “A National Catalogue of Foreigners,” which tracks foreign tourists and immigrants): http://www.iwp.edu/news/newsID.267/news_detail.asp
Apparently, endorses of this approach and is making it work.

If it is that easy, why hasn’t been done? NO ONE ELSE IS GOING TO DO THOSE JOBS. You might be the greatest person in the world, but you are not going to do fill those positions by your self. And you are not going to leave your job, for a dishwasher job that pays $6.50 an hour. If Americans want those jobs they will be taken already. The unions are busting themselves, they had a purpose in the past, but now the only thing they do is to rip off their members and promote laziness. You still don’t get it, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THEM OUT! How are you going to get them out? First, the government knows the value, so they are going to keep pretending that they care. You say, fallow the money, how many charges had been file against the chicken factory in Fairfield? 0, how many charges were drop with fisher homes? All. They make big deals about the raids, but nobody follows up, if they did, they’ll realized, ICE let almost every body go (normally they deport or arrest the ones that have criminal records; witch is a great thing) and the story goes away.

Unfortunately, as Thomas Wolfe said in his book, "You Can't Go Home Again."
My father's parents legally immigrated from Hungary to the United States in 1911, and they and their children lived through some tough times (WWI, the 1918 Pandemic, WWII). My grandfather told me when he arrived here after paying for the necessary documents and transportation to the United States, he had 25 cents in his pocket. And, there were thieves then also taking advantage of the new immigrants.
