Myself: Irish, English, Dutch, Germany, and Cherokee. Well, I guess everyone can have a little luck of the Irish. Whenever things get tough for us, something always comes through. Call it luck or simply a blessing from God. This morning while outside with my daughter preparing the yard for some landscaping, we came across a batch of clover. In it we found 4 four-leaf clovers (Two are on the same stem and root as are the other 2 four-leaf clovers) and 2 five-leaf clovers. Afterward, I researched clovers to ensure they are the real thing, and it was an exact match. There are several different types of clover, but these are the exact match to the original clover that grows throughout the rest of my yard. If these are truly the real things, I feel it may be a message from God telling me he is proud of the changes I have made in my life and to never stop. Who knows for sure, but I do know one thing. These clovers are being saved for all 3 of my children in hopes they will find luck and blessings throughout their life, and that God will bless them.

Cynthia Davis
Military Wife and Mother of 3.
Union, Kentucky
give up liberty

Those who give up liberty to purchase a little temporary safty derserve neither liberty or safty.

Campbell Co school district is RUMORED TO BE, trying to take away the all day kindergarten program, for the up coming year without telling any of the parents. This leaves me with the question of No Child Left Behind in the state of Kentucky. When is Mr. Strong going to get his job or pay cut, he has not had to suffer the budget cuts, why should the children. There is a board meeting on Monday, April 14 @ 7:00 pm Grant's Lick to vote on this issue. Mr. Strong doesn't want this to go public because the county has already registered about 200 children in the county for all day for the 2008-2009 school year.

Again this is a huge disservice to our community because who has had all day offered for at least the last three years. Parents come to expect and plan for this. Now because of the tax levy not be passed. The same thing with our Spring Break being shortened at a Board Meeting that was not made public knowledge of the agenda.

The plumber you viewed saturday!!

I know his name and his company but not sure if i am allowed to post it here. This guys the best liar i have ever met or worked for. Yes thats right i worked for him. About 5 years ago now but nothing has changed with him. First of all he has never went to plumbing school or took a Ohio jouryneman plumbing test, thus he himself has no state liscence. Second he rips off every customer at every possible turn. You should poll his customers and the owners of the last company he worked for to verify this. He even faked a back injury at his old company the day i quit just so he wouldnt have to do any work. Workers comp payed him a bundle and imagine that now he has his own company. As for the customers, we never completed a job for the amount quoted at the start, it was always more if not alot more. He acheives this by lying about everything involved ie: the pipe is still broken we must go further down to attach, the machine cant get through the clog but we can dig it up for you right now, we hit a bunch of rock in your front yard and have to charge more, and finally, but not all, if yyou ask for a inspection by the county in charge you will never see him but you will pay extra fees. This guy is that good! You can watch him all day but step away for two minutes and you have just missed the inspector. He was also featured on another local news program for not paying employees and his old company was taken to court multiple times over his lies.

Besides just ripping his company i would like to inform the public so that no companies can take advantage of them in the future.

1) Ohio law states any plumbing fixture replaced must be inspected. Now that is a little much when you think of all the toilet replacements but thats not really what theyre concerned with. WATERHEATERS are and will be a huge item that can kill you with carbon monoxide if installed incorrectly. Dont chance it! Make sure your plumber gets an inspection and you see the INSPECTION STICKER that is given with every inspection even if it failed.

2)Call your local health department. If you get a big price hike, feel something may be "fishy", or see some work you would consider questionalble give the inspectors a call. If your plumber is doing his job correctly he has nothing to worry about but if he didnt get a permit or isnt liscenced you could be saving yourself a headace.

3)Ask for Liscence or Apprenticeship card. All plumbers in ohio are required to carry this at all times on the job.
