    thanks from winchester ohio

    tim,

We live in the area just west of winchester and south of sr32.  your weather forcasting tonight was fantastic.  About 5 years ago I spoke w/steve about purchasing a weather alert radio and took his reccomendations about where to purchase.  It does the job!!!We watch channel 12 news and weather faithfully just because of your outstanding weather predictions.  We have found that you do not unnecessarily warn of dangerous weather and in doing so I take seriously when you do say to take cover.

Our area of winchester sustained no damage as the storm seemed to split around us.   Again many thanks to all of the weather forcasters at channel 12.

That was some storm that moved thru. I live in Peebles and we recieved hail that was approx. the size of a marble. And it also did some damage to a house not far from us. We were lucky thank God that is was not any worse.

Tim, John and the rest of the PD12 Team...

I live in Vevay...a good hour + from Mason County and Brown and Adams Counties...I just want to say what a great job you did...the people in those counties ought to be thankful that we have weathermen like you in this area. They had ample warning and awesome coverage of where the storm was. I know that if that situation were to arise here in Switzerland County someday...Local 12 and the PD12 Weather Center is where I'll turn. Great Job!

Thanks so much for the kind words.  I'll pass them along to everyone.

This past event reminds me of two of our core philosophies here at Local 12 Weather:  1.) It doesn't matter where you live in the area, if there's a serious threat to life or property, we will let you know about it and most importantly, 2.) We will not cry wolf.  If we're breaking into programming and telling you to take cover there's a big risk of serious weather.  We won't be on unless it's dangerous and we won't over-hype things.

    John

Hi John Gumm  I live in Hamersville Ohio which is in Brown Co...Do you think it would kill anyone to mention Hamersville when doing weather reports...There are no tornado sirens here advance notice would be VERY helpful......VioletnBlue
