As a kid, (until King's Island opened) I remember my Dad's "company picnics" were something we looked forward to each summer. They were held at "Old Coney." Mom FINALLY gave in & let us ride the "Shooting Star" & "Teddy Bear." Safety has greatly improved since the 60's. Although I my prayers are with the little girl in Louisville, riding the "thrill rides" are part of growing up. I believe K.I. should dbl. check the ride,then,reopen it. Kids are waiting!
