    There's a strong 500 jet above, along with some breaks in the clouds arriving later this afternoon, which will lead to some rapid heating.  This will help fuel some storms.  Looks like a line is developing across central Indiana now.  Also appears that this has some strong winds behind the front - high wind warnings across the Dakota's!  Here's the surface reports as of 12noon.

    Oh, okay. Thanks for the explanation, and the head's up. Yep, sure enough, I'm seeing some brightening of the skies and some blue patches here in SW Butler Co...
    I don't mind storms, just don't want to get caught out in any severe ones! Plus my dogs are big chickens and I don't want to be gone if something breaks out.
