danieal kelly disabled girl left to starve to death

I just found this out a couple of days ago but this happened 2 yrs ago and she died on August 4th 2006.This poor child suffered so bad and i just cant understand why her mother would do this to her she had celebral palsy and they said she never took her out of the house or changed her diapers or anything and she wouldnt let her siblings go to her and help her.It really makes me mad she would treat her like this all because she knew she couldnt tell. But family and friends knew how she was and did nothing. They lied to the grand jury and now they are also in jail.a total of 9 people are in jail for thIs childs death.I saw the autopsy pictures and i could not imagine the pain that child endured. What is wrong with people please answer that question for me why would anyone hurt a child like that? Here are some links to the story i dont know if channel 12 aired this story or not.       http://www.philly.com/inquirer/world_us/20080801_Those_Charged_In_Danieal_Kelly_Case.html          http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2008-08-01-517921951_x.htm              http://www.metafilter.com/73787/Danieal-Kelly

Re: danieal kelly disabled girl left to starve to death

People who kill their children fit a certain psychological profile. They do not see the children as people, they see them as objects to be used and discarded.

In this past year, we have seen the Carrolls and Amy Baker use little Marcus to get quick “fosterparent” cash, and then dispose of him when he became “unruly.”

We have seen Brenda and Gary Slaby profit at least $158,000 from blackmailing West Clermont Local Schools, plus the insurance proceeds after causing the horrific “baking” death of their defective toddler Cecilia.

And the wonderful French-Canadian citizen in Mason who grew tired of his bothersome family, so he simply incinerated them in their sleep after first butchering his wife. At least he saved us the cost of a trial by taking the coward’s way out in his jail cell.

This woman who starved her defective daughter to death was only able to do so because of the conspiracy of silence in her family. Hopefully, there will be plenty of room in hell for all of them.

The common thread running through all these stories is the complete lack of the most basic element of humanity – the ability to empathize with the victims, or even view them as human beings.

Another common thread is the killers’ perception of most of these children as disposable due to some sort of birth defect or emotional disorder. Perhaps the adults think that Society will not punish them because so little value is placed on their victims, the “defective” children.

The reason these people make the news is that, thank God, their actions are not normal. If stories like this ever stopped being disgusting to a majority of people, then I would truly give up hope for humanity.
