In my opinion channel 12 does a really good job at making forecast from favorable conditons instead of only forecasting what is already visible on the radar, for instance it seems channel 5 only will predict what is obvious, versus trying to PREDICT what COULD happen due to favorable conditions, but that has just been my experience
