And don't forget... if there's thunder, there's lightning somewhere. Hence the phrase ''lightning strikes out of the clear blue skies.''
If you can hear thunder, seek shelter.
Not that any of us are outside right now. Blizzards in Cincinnati in March... go figure!

I agree, it's mighty fishy. But how can they check? Seriously... I am an independent, and I honestly voted for the Dem candidate that I support. What if I were a Republican but didn't like McCain? How can it be proved that I voted my conscience, or that I voted to throw the election?
The only way is to throw out all of the non-party ballots, ...

I don't know about that, but I know something is rotten in the County of Clermont. We've run out of ballots -- as of 7:10, my husband could not get a Democratic ballot and was told that the entire state had run out. He was also told that there would be another election, and that the election workers would get to earn another paycheck for working ...

what's the big (government) deal about how many days, etc? It's a load of carp. When they cancel spring break (when many families have plansd for going out of town) or tack on more days at the end of the year, is anything really being taught? Is anything being learned? (Besides that numbers matter more than minds, or people)
school ...

I mean, they can delay for 2 hours, but if some of the roads are still iffy, then what do they do -- another 2 hour delay? Then we're halfway through the school day, and by the time you get the kids into the building, there's really no point. Their attention ...

hsteacher: Let me ask you this then. Would you drive a school bus with 30 or more children on a small two lane road and then cross one lane old wooden bridge? Can you honestly answer this? Living and teaching in a rural county there is no way that I would drive one of those buses.
I have always said that we should take those skeptic ...

Oogie, it's starting now. The skies look clear, so I expect we should be able to see it really well. The eclipse will be complete at about 10:00 p.m.
I'm letting my kids stay up a little late so they can see more of it than just a sliver of a shadow.

Bgoney is right. Immunity is immunity. I'm not saying Baker was innocent, but without her testimony, Liz Carrol might have been able to play an ''oops I forgot'' card.
And for those of you who vowed to remember Marcus and Cecilia Slaby at election time, the key players are running unopposed ...

Ya know, cboggs, if ALL of the weathermen in Cincinnati were so terribly wrong, then that should give you a clue that maybe there are reasons it is difficult to forecast the weather in this region. The appropriate thing would be to ask what factors make it touch to get an accurate forecast? What effect does the river, the ...

Seems he gave himself what he thought he deserved -- he killed himself during the police standoff.
This has been a bad, bad week. Shootings at a Missouri courthouse, Lousiana tech college, Memphis high school.
The anti-gun crowd will be screaming for gun control. What they don't understand is that, as they say, when guns are outlawed, only
